DB5, DB6 & DBS Vented Brake Kit

The standard front brakes on the Aston Martin DB5, DB6 and DBS share a solid disc and basic cast iron caliper which deliver adequate braking but fall short of modern expectations.

Such beautiful cars should deliver a relaxing, effortless driving experience and sadly that is not always the case when they are used in heavy traffic, when being driven in mountainous regions or at higher speeds.

The front suspension design of the DB5, DB6 and DBS does not leave a lot of spare room for a vented disc and larger brake caliper but we are delighted that with the help of two highly respected partners from the Aston Martin world we have now developed a kit which will bring dramatic improvements to the brakes on these wonderful cars.

We can now offer the following Aston Martin Big Brake Kits:

Each kit utilises our ExCel 6 pot caliper and a two part rotor and ball assembly.  The increased brake pad area and larger, vented rotor mean  that the brakes deliver better stopping power, a more progressive pedal and greatly increased heat dissipation.

The vented brake upgrade for the Aston Martin DB5, Aston Martin DB6 and Aston Martin DBS can be fitted without maodiufcation to the original car. However you must fit Aston Martin MK2 6″ wide wheels to the DB5 and DB6 clear the larger caliper and disc assembly. A 6″ wide wheel is also required for the DBS.

• Pair six pot ExCel calipers in either silver or black anodised finish
• Mounting brackets and hardware
• Pair of oversize vented rotors with choice of surface slotting etc.
