The Triumph Stag was Britain’s answer to the Mercedes SL in the early 1970’s and Triumph had grand plans to dominate the four seat convertible market both here in Europe and in the USA. Unfortunately, the car never quite delivered the sales expected of it, but the italian styling and British V8 made their mark on motoring history and many Stags are now ‘re-borne’ and offer practical, open top motoring.
The brakes on the Stag were OK at the time but the use of a simple, two pot caliper and solid discs roots their technology firmly in the 1970’s. In order to allow the Stag to keep up with the demands of modern motoring, Fosseway Performance has developed two braking upgrades for the car: A lightweight four pot caliper replacement designed to work with the original front discs and a similar caliper with the benefit of vented front discs are now available.
As with all our standard kits, these have been designed to fit inside the factory fitted wheels and require no permanent modification to the car.
