‘Big Healey’ Vented Brake Upgrade

Our Austin Healey BJ8 brake kit features a specially produced 22mm vented brake disc which is unique and finally brings the benefit of modern braking design to Austin Healeys. We have gone to great lengths to develop a disc and caliper combination which matches the existing braking system and that requires no permanent modification to your car. Our lightweight 6082 aluminium four piston alloy caliper has been designed to bolt straight on to the front suspension upright of all cars from chassis number 26704 onwards.  The combination of increased pad area, lightweight caliper and vented discs (rotors) transforms the feel of these great cars and gives you a reassuring level of braking unknown until now.

The special 22mm vented brake disc will fit inside any 15″ wheel with a width of 5 1/2″ or more. The continual cooling of the vented brake discs eliminates the brake fade often suffered by cars with the original solid discs. These are a direct replacement for your original discs, requiring no changes to your wheel hubs or suspension.
