Recently we were approached by Mr G Wade to help him with his 1936 Vauxhall 14/6.
Having begun a full restoration of the car Mr Wade had found it impossible to find a replacement starter motor. As a result the car had stood still for over a year whilst he tried in vain to find a starter motor that would fit his car.
We were delighted to help Mr Wade and developed a high torque unit from one of our Denso gear reduction models. A special mounting plate and pinion were fitted and care was taken to ensure the correct throw and engagement was achieved.
The end result is a car that starts with ease and we were even present to witness the 1936 Vauxhall move under its own power for the first time in over a year. In fact we went for a ride in it through the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside near Mr Wades farm – Thank you.
