Range Rover Classic Brake Upgrade – Front Caliper with Twin Feed

The standard front brakes of the early Range Rover Classic and Discovery 1 featured a simple solid disc (298mm x 14mm) and a basic four piston caliper with twin hydraulic feeds.  Later versions of the cars improved upon this with the addition of vented discs and then finally ABS but these barely kept up with the increased weight and power of the later models.

The Fosseway Performance Range Rover Classic brake upgrade features a special version of our oversize, lightweight aluminium 6082 T6 billet four pot caliper with twin feed hydraulics which is directly compatible with the original master cylinder.  The new caliper is used in conjunction with a choice of oversized vented front discs with directional cooling vanes for optimum performance. These rotors deliver vastly improved stopping power and huge increase in heat management and dissipation.

Fosseway Performance – Range Rover Classic Upgrade – Kit Contents and Disc Options

The ‘small’ disc which measures 330mm x 32mm will fit inside most 16″ wheels including the original Rostyle (with the use of a 3mm spacer included in the kit if required). The ‘large’ disc measures in at 350mm x34mm but requires the use of a 17″ wheel or larger.

Both kits are supplied with 4 stainless steel braided front brake hoses, EBC Green Stuff brake pads and caliper mountings suited the axle fitted to the intended application.  The ABS system, where fitted remains fully functioning.

The Range Rover Classic  brake upgrade kit (front) also includes

  • A choice of specially manufactured one piece vented brake discs with directional vanes:
    • 330 x 32mm – 16″ wheels including Rostyle steel wheels
    • 350 x 34mm – 17″ wheels or larger
  • Supplied with four stainless steel braided brake lines for the front of the car
  • Rostyle wheel spacer if required
  • EBC Greenstuff brake pads are included as standard (Yellowstuff optional)
